How to Reprogram Your Subconscious Mind to Manifest?

How to reprogram your subconscious mind to manifest

In this article, first, I’ll help you understand what the subconscious mind is and how it works. Following that, I’ll show you 9 simple steps to learn how to reprogram your subconscious mind to manifest your dream with ease. Finally, I provide some examples of destructive patterns in the subconscious mind, helping you identify them in your own life. So, let’s begin.

Your Subconscious Mind: How It Works

Your subconscious mind is the base or foundation of your thoughts and actions. It’s like a hidden control center in your mind. Inside this control center, there are different programs that influence how you behave and react to situations. These programs run on autopilot and direct your cognitive activities on a day-to-day basis, shaping your mindset and perspective.

The subconscious mind is essentially a programmed mind. During the first 7 years of your life, it actively downloads programs just by observing, experiencing, and learning from others and your environment. As a result, the majority of your cognitive activities are now automatically handled by your subconscious mind, such as how you walk or carry out routine tasks.

Science has revealed that only 5% of our daily activities are controlled by our conscious mind. The remaining 95% is managed by our subconscious mind, operating from those stored programs we have put in our minds during the first 7 years of our lives.

Only 5% of your daily activities are conscious; the remaining 95% is shaped by your subconscious programming in the first 7 years of your life.
Only 5% of your daily activities are conscious; the remaining 95% is shaped by your subconscious programming in the first 7 years of your life.

Unfortunately, many of these programs are disempowering and self-sabotaging. If you still hold onto those negative programs or a program that is no longer valid for you, no matter how hard your conscious mind tries to achieve something, you only use 5% of your will, putting you nowhere because 95% of you don’t want that and are fighting against it.

You just struggle without achieving the desired result. The struggle you face is because you are trying hard on the conscious level, but the programs in your subconscious mind are against that. So, no matter how much you put in a conscious effort, your contribution would be only 5% of the desired result you are seeking.

For example, if, on the conscious level, you want to manifest money, but there are different programs in your subconscious mind that say money is the root of all evil, becoming rich will cause you to be a bad person, or if you get more money, you will lose relationships, then 95% of you always aims to reject and dispose of the money. In this example, there is obviously a battle between your conscious and subconscious mind. If your conscious wants something but your subconscious mind wants something else, your subconscious mind always wins.

Remember this always: in any battle between the conscious and subconscious mind, your subconscious mind always wins.

That was only one example; imagine if you have set many negative sabotaging programs in your subconscious mind, then your life will be filled with ongoing challenges and struggles in manifesting your desired goals.

You know this also. That’s why you are here and reading this article to find a way to reprogram your subconscious mind with the most empowering beliefs that support you in manifesting your dreams and goals.

If you don’t take any action now, you are not leading a life that takes you towards your wishes and desires; you are leading a life that constantly manifests the issues that you have downloaded from others, which are mostly negative and challenging. Therefore, you will struggle to manifest your particular goal or desire.

But the point is, if your subconscious mind also wants your particular desire or has a positive, constructive program for it, then you can get it easily and without struggle.

Are you ready to reprogram your subconscious mind to manifest your desires effortlessly? In this section, I’ve simplified it into 9 steps. Let’s explore now!

But, before we look at how to reprogram your subconscious mind to manifest, you should understand this fact too:

Downloading new programs into your conscious mind will not affect the subconscious. The subconscious mind will not be programmed in this way. It is differently programmed and requires specific approaches.

Most of these approaches, involve quieting the conscious mind first and allowing your subconscious mind to operate because when your conscious mind is active, your subconscious mind cannot operate effectively.

As a whole, these approaches have two commonalities:

  1. You need to quiet the conscious mind and let your subconscious mind be active by going to a relaxed state.
  2. Repetition and practice are essential components of these approaches. If you look back at the first programming of your subconscious mind, like learning to walk, it was programmed via repetition and practice. So, it is the nature of the subconscious mind to learn from repetitions. The approaches mentioned below require a significant amount of repetition and practice. Your commitment to the process is the key.

Here are 9 steps to learn how to reprogram your subconscious mind to manifest anything you desire with ease:

1- Identify Your Destructive Beliefs

To reprogram your subconscious mind for the best, start by identifying negative beliefs that usually hide deep within you. If you do not know how exactly to find the belief that limits your true potential, refer to the next section. I provide some examples to make identifying negative programs and patterns easier.

Remember, awareness is the first step of any change.

2- Unlearn Your Limiting Beliefs

If you are determined to learn how to reprogram your subconscious mind to manifest, understand that you do not get rid of any belief as long as you believe it is beneficial for you.

As Bashar, a channeled entity through Darryl Anka, has conveyed, beliefs play a crucial role in shaping our reality. According to Bashar’s teachings, beliefs are exclusive but can be chosen, and recognizing this choice is key to unlocking our full potential.

“By definition, the structure of a belief, the nature of a belief would make it seem as if that’s the only belief that’s possible. Because if that were not the nature of a belief, you could not really fully experience that belief as a reality. So, beliefs, by definition, to some degree, are exclusive of other beliefs, except the belief that other beliefs exist and can be chosen. And you can use that as a key to unlock anything. But you have to allow yourself to know that, that unlocking belief always exists. But the idea is that sometimes, because you want to experience a certain thing, you will let yourself forget that you are actually choosing to believe certain things and that when you choose them, you are also choosing the consequences of buying into that belief which can be the inertia that draws you deeper into that belief and makes it seem as if for a moment, temporarily, that no other belief is possible.”

Bashar

So keep in mind that your current belief pretends to be the only valid belief and attempts to stay with you. Remind yourself, as Bashar said, other beliefs exist!

Take a moment and ask yourself: Is this current belief that I am holding tightly onto the only truth? Maybe another alternative belief exists and is valid, too.

For example, you may now strongly hold the belief that success can only be achieved through hard work, or you believe that your happiness depends on external circumstances.

So, you need to put some conscious effort into bringing down the values you give to those beliefs. For example, question your beliefs, challenge them, and find evidence proving that the belief is not valid in your current situation. 3- Choose New Beliefs

It is time to choose a new positive program or empowering beliefs that align with manifesting your dream. Once you have realized which beliefs were holding you back, it is time now to CHOOSE new ones.

For example, if you have set a program in your subconscious mind that everything should be achieved through hard work, it is time to choose a new belief. You can now choose and say: “From now on, I choose to achieve my desires with ease. I embrace this new belief.”

To encourage you more about your role in choosing new positive beliefs, I would like to make this a bit more scientific.

Understand the Power of Your Reticular Activating System

In the neural architecture of your brain, there is a component called the reticular activating system (RAS). This part is responsible for filtering information stored in your subconscious mind and controlling what information should get your conscious attention.

The RAS relies on certain criteria influenced by your subconscious programming, including beliefs, values, and past experiences. While the RAS operates mostly on autopilot, functioning without your conscious effort or awareness, your conscious mind can still influence it.

The RAS tends to focus on things that align with your existing beliefs and activate those stored programs related to your beliefs in your subconscious mind.

When you consciously decide to adopt new empowering beliefs, you’re instructing your RAS to pay attention to positive patterns and information in your subconscious, which I am sure most of us stored during our seven years of life, positive empowering programs, too.

If you consciously focus on positive beliefs, you’re essentially telling your RAS to pay attention to positive patterns and information in your subconscious. Over time, this positive focus can contribute to reshaping your subconscious programming to align with your goals.

4- Be Clear About Your New Beliefs

Do not just choose one new belief; be crystal clear about that. This clarity will strengthen their impact on your subconscious mind, making them more impactful in your manifestation journey.

Be sure that your chosen beliefs are not only positive but also vividly understood. In this case, you enhance their effectiveness in guiding your thoughts and actions towards manifesting your dreams.

5- Enter a Relaxed State of Mind

Go to a relaxed state of mind before you follow one of the next reprogramming approaches. As I mentioned earlier, you need to quiet the conscious mind so that the subconscious mind can be active. This step is important because when your conscious mind and body are relaxed, your subconscious mind becomes more receptive to positive suggestions and new beliefs. The alpha state, in particular, allows for a deeper connection with your subconscious.

By consciously entering this state, you create an environment where the subconscious mind is more open to receiving and incorporating the new beliefs you’ve chosen. Read more about how to enter the alpha state.

6- Adopt a Reprogramming Technique to Embed Your Chosen Belief in Your Subconscious Mind

Integrate one of these approaches into your daily life to reprogram your subconscious mind.

  • Technique 1- Positive affirmations:
Affirmations are positive statements that strongly affect your subconscious mind. First, choose positive statements that reflect your newly chosen belief, then regularly repeat them. Affirmations work best when repeated without a pause in between. Gradually, this repetition will instill them into your subconscious mind. Make affirmations specific, positive, and in the present tense. Read more about creating effective affirmations.

  • Technique 2 – Visualization:
Visualization activates the same brain regions as actual experiences. When you create mental images related to your new beliefs, your subconscious mind becomes more responsive. Your subconscious mind reacts strongly to images, making it easier to accept and instill new beliefs. Another interesting mystery is that your subconscious mind sees all your imaginations as reality. So, if in your mind, you see that achieving your goals is easy and natural, your subconscious mind believes it to be true. It’s like training your mind to see success as normal and achievable. Learn more about the 7 mysteries of the subconscious mind. Pay attention to creating a mental image of your new beliefs as vividly as possible and engage all your senses to make the visualization more powerful.

  • Technique 3 – Self-Hypnosis:
Self-hypnosis allows direct communication with the subconscious mind. By bypassing the critical conscious mind, self-hypnosis enables the acceptance of new beliefs in your subconscious mind. In this state, your subconscious mind is more open to positive suggestions and accepting new beliefs. I have an easy-to-follow self-hypnosis practice explained here; read it. I also suggest self-hypnosis, not relying on hypnosis by others. It’s best that you do it on your own because you should have complete faith in your hypnotherapist and their work on you.

7- Repeat Your Chosen Technique

Identify which of these approaches feels right for you, and then keep repeating them. Repetition is the key. Your subconscious mind pays attention when a thought or statement is consistently repeated. Let me give you an example that you always remember this concept.

Imagine there is an elderly person sitting behind a window of a home on a crowded street. This person is reading a newspaper. Outside the window, many people are coming and going, and they are talking about different things all the time (See the figure below).

The person behind the window, which is busy with his own work (reading the newspaper), does not pay attention to the outside. Many people pass by and say something, and the elderly person keeps always reading his newspaper. But if one passerby outside comes along multiple times or says one thing multiple times, the person reading the newspaper stops reading, looks outside to see who this person is, and becomes curious about this persistent passerby, then gives attention to what the passerby is saying.

Your subconscious mind is like a person reading a newsletter behind a window on a crowded street; it doesn't pay attention to the things outside (your conscious mind) unless something repeats many times to capture its focus.
Your subconscious mind is like a person reading a newsletter behind a window on a crowded street; it doesn’t pay attention to the things outside (your conscious mind) unless something repeats many times to capture its focus.

In this example, your subconscious mind is the person behind the window (reading the newspaper), and everything happening outside the windows in the street reflects your conscious mind and its daily thoughts.

Normally, your subconscious mind (the elderly person sitting behind the window) does not pay attention to what your conscious mind is saying as there are thousands of thoughts and words per day (remember about that crowded, busy street on the other side of the window). But if a particular sentence or thought repeats, then it triggers your subconscious mind (and it grabs the attention of the person behind the window). So, remember this example and keep repeating your chosen approach before.

8- Limit External Negative Influences

After taking all the steps I mentioned before, it is also important that you create a protective space around your thoughts and beliefs. Media, often filled with conflicting messages, can make your progress challenging. Similarly, the energy and attitudes of those around you can affect your mindset and beliefs. If they are running on programs and beliefs that are contrary to your newly chosen beliefs towards manifesting your goals, then stop being affected by media or negative people. Setting boundaries with such people and creating distance from anything that contradicts your chosen path is the best way to limit these external influences.

9- Be Aware of Your Self-Talk

Be more aware of your self-talk. Whenever you catch yourself discussing those negative beliefs you discovered in Step 1, pause and say, “I choose now to think about those positive beliefs” (the ones you selected in Step 3).

Congratulations on taking the first step toward reprogramming your subconscious mind to manifest your dreams. You’ve gained valuable knowledge and insight. Now, it’s up to you to stay committed and take the next steps by implementing what you’ve learned here. Continue on this journey with patience and persistence. Each action you take brings you closer to your goals. Remember, transformation is a process, and your dedication to reprogramming your subconscious mind will lead to meaningful results.

Before we come to the end of this article, let’s look at some examples to help you identify potential destructive beliefs you may have.

Subconscious Mind Examples: Understanding Patterns

You may hold different types of programs in your subconscious mind. Here, I categorize them under different patterns and provide an example for each to help you identify such a pattern in your own life.

  1. Self-Image Maintenance Programs:
Some programs in your subconscious mind are designed to maintain and protect your self-image. For example, you may want consciously to lose weight, but your subconscious wants to keep you overweight to maintain your current identity or self-image with the familiar image.

  2. Reward-Influenced Programs:
Some programs have been formed and instilled in your subconscious mind based on your past positive experiences and rewards. For example, for me, I wanted consciously to be thin, but I unconsciously tended to eat a lot. Even when I was no longer hungry, I could not stop it. One day, I realized that I have some programs from my childhood that said I should finish my plate. I remembered when I was a child, whenever I could eat all my food on my plate, my family always applauded me and gave me an award. In this way, my subconscious mind learned that finishing the plate is a good thing. This program in me is not a negative one indeed, but now, in this age, I no longer need it because it causes me to gain weight.

  3. Defensive Programs in your subconscious mind:
Some programs in your subconscious mind act defensively to protect you from perceived emotional risks and uncertainties. For example, while consciously you may seek to manifest love, your subconscious mind may use some defense mechanisms to defend you from perceived emotional risks and uncertainties.

  4. Fear-Based Programs:
Some programs in your subconscious mind are rooted in fear. For example, you consciously want to be in a lovely relationship, but your subconscious may fear accepting the responsibilities that come with it.

  5. Supportive or Protective Programs:
The role of some programs in your subconscious mind is to protect you. For example, if you’ve burned your hand near a fire before, your subconscious ensures caution in the next encounters and aims to protect you from harm based on your past experience. This is a positive role, but a destructive example is if you once got hurt in a love relationship, and if later you go into a new relationship, your subconscious mind may find different ways to take you out of that relationship to protect you from getting hurt again.

  6. Comfort Zone Programs:
Some programs in your subconscious mind aim to keep you in your comfort zone and resist changes by not disrupting familiar patterns and not going into the unknown. For example, even if in your conscious mind you believe that you need to leave this job and go to a new job, your subconscious mind always finds a way to keep you in your current job and your comfort zone.
